Formula for Happiness
Look at your fingers. They are different, and yet they are similar. But being part of the same hand they co-exist and cooperate with each other in order to accomplish the hand's purpose. The same God who made different and unequal fingers on your hand also made human beings to differ from each other. Our differences are not so much due to the cruelty of society, of environment, and circumstances, as they are to the fact that such differences were actually planned and executed by God, the Creator. rnrnConsider I Corinthians 4:7: For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive?" God is responsible for our differences, but not for our quarrels. We are different for the purpose of complementing each other, and not for the purpose of fighting each other in the struggle for "the survival of the fittest.” Besides our created differences, there are also differences which exist because of our own personal choices. We choose to be different, to act differently, and we choose different life styles. Not all poor peo ple, for instance, are poor because they have to be. Some are poor because they choose to be, in order that through their sacrifice they may better serve God and help others."
